Diablo Immortal's new Terror's Tide expansion launches this week

Diablo Immortal is getting another major update just in time for the holidays, adding its first post-launch zone.

Blizzard Entertainment has announced a new expansion for Diablo Immortal titled Terror’s Tide, launching this week on December 14. This update will allow players to explore an all-new zone and questline, complete with five Lieutenants of Hell to defeat.

Check out the details in this Dev Update video:

Blizzard’s mobile Diablo spin-off is adding a new zone called Stormpoint, an exiled island that's been used by Westmarch as a clandestine prison long before players first step foot inside it. Stormpoint is home to the largest piece of the Worldstone shard players have seen yet, and it’s also the first post-launch zone to be added to the game. Players will only have access to it once they hit Level 60 and complete the Starsign quest, however.

Diablo Immortal might be squeezing players for all they’re worth in cash, but one can’t deny that there is a fun hack-and-slash game somewhere underneath all that pushy monetisation. Stormpoint gives you more things to slay, specifically five new Helliquary bosses consisting of Ophinneb the Skin-Veiled, Dymdrail, Crawling Woe, Catarag the Strangling Sun, Apothrus, Tamer of the Fallen, and Phangwrth, Warmth-Feaster. Blizzard is also introducing Hell Difficulties VI, VII, and VIII for anyone who’s looking to bump up their Paragon level.

The expansion also sees the release of five new Legendary Gems and the Season Eight Battle Pass, titled The Hidden Sun. New cosmetics are also coming to the in-game shop, for anyone who has no qualms with giving this game more money. There’s also going to be a new limited-time seasonal event called Brumaltine that gives you dailies to tick off for seasonal rewards, running from December 14 to January 4. This is the last content drop players will get until early January while Blizzard takes a holiday break to cap off 2022, so let it last.
