WCG 2004 Iran Prelim

The Iranian WCG Preliminaries just finished.

54 Starcraft players went into battle through a double elimination tournament. Both CT Phantom and Sir_Protoss won all their matches until they duked it off at the end leaving CT.Phantom as the winner of the event. fstarcraft had to row hard from the losers' brackets to make it to third place. 3S * Sir Black Knight came fourth, I think.


This was perhaps the largest ever tournament of its kind in Iran. It was held at Sharif University of Technology with Samsung as their main Sponsor.

I could not find a replay pack but I did find one game uploaded to their WCG site. It is between two of the participants CT.Phantom and Archangel. Download it here and see what Iran has to offer in the world of starcraft.
