Chris Moorman Sits in Second with 23 remaining in WSOPE Main Event

After Day 3 of the €10,400 buy-in World Series of Poker Europe Main Event in Cannes, France, there are 23 players remaining from the 116 who started Day 3. American Max Silver leads them all with 1,780,000 but Brit Chris Moorman sits in second with dangerous Shawn Buchanan in fourth. With a first or second finish in the main event, Buchanan would temporarily overtake Ben Lamb in the WSOP Player of the Year leaderboard.

Barry Greenstein had the unfortunate distinction of being the money bubble boy.

All remaining 23 players are in hot pursuit of the €1.4 million, or roughly $1.9 million that is guaranteed for first place.

Some notable players with short stacks that hope for some serious run good to make the final table include Tony G (226,000), Eric Seidel (242,000), Jake Cody (522,000) and Patrik Antonius (696,000).

Those fortunate to make the money but who busted during Day 3 included
JC Alvarado, Victor Ramdin, Mike “GoLeafsGoEh” Leah, Hoyt Corkins, Freddy Deeb, Liv Boeree, Maria Ho and BLUFF Player of the Year contender Matthew Waxman. The chip leader coming into the day, Constant Rijkenberg, busted out in 49th place collecting €21,475 ($29,600 US).
