First WPT Florida Main Event Day 1 Results

The first ever World Poker Tour's Florida based $10,000 main event began Wednesday at the Seminole Hard Rock casino with a healthy field of 406 players. Randy Dorfman leads after Day one with 160,000 chips after starting with a 30,000 chips.

There are 290 players who will advance to Day 2 on Thursday including Annette Obrestad, Kathy Liebert, Mike Sexton and Lauren Kling.

Notable Floridians in the event advancing to Day 2 included Rob Mizrachi, Jason Mercier, Adam Levy, Matt Waxman and Harrison Gimbel.

Notables not making it through Day 1 included Gavin Smith, Faraz Jaka, Scott Seiver, Dwyte Pilgrim, Hoyt Corkins, Antonio Esfandiari, and WPT Player of the Year points leader Andy Frankenberger.
