When is Path of Exile 2 1.0 coming out?
During Gamescom Opening Night Live, developer Grinding Gear Games dropped a long-awaited announcement for Path of Exile 2. The action-RPG is officially getting a full 1.0 release this December, wrapping up its early access period to go free-to-play permanently. The launch update will be pretty big, adding two final campaign Acts to top off the existing story content.
The 1.0 update will also include the newly-revealed Duelist class. This is a sword-wielding class, described as a character who “trained relentlessly for a place in the Grand Arena, where he sought vengeance. Forced to flee during the Fall of Oriath, he now fights on behalf of those unable to defend themselves.”
The Duelist is handy at using both a sword and a shield, allowing players to trounce enemies with aggressive melee attacks. Players can pre-register for the game on the official Path of Exile 2 website for more rewards when the 1.0 update drops as well, including exclusive effects and a pet.
Path of Exile 2 1.0 launches on 11 December, 2026.
