The upcoming Dungeons & Dragons-inspired game Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons has received its first gameplay look at Gamescom 2026.
Invoke Studios has unveiled the first gameplay footage of Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons through a world premiere trailer at Gamescom 2026. The five-minute showcase offers a closer look at the dynamic between protagonist Kaatri and her patron, Tasha, alongside glimpses of the game's mechanics, combat and visuals.

What is Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons?
Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons is an upcoming third-person, single-player game inspired by the D&D universe. It is developed by Invoke Studios, the makers of another D&D inspired game Dark Alliance, and set to be published by Wizards of the Coast. The game was first announced last December, revealing protagonist Kaatri, who is voiced and performance-captured by Tricia Helfer.
The game takes place in the dark open world of Darkon, where veteran warrior Kaatri strikes a pact with her patron, Tasha–voiced by Maggie Robertson–in exchange for magical powers. The pact turns her into a warlock, allowing her to see raw magic within the world, interact with magical elements and harness them as abilities. While Kaatri is a new character, Tasha is a renowned figure in the D&D lore, being a powerful spellcaster, witch, and demonologist.
In Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons, players will explore Darkon while taking on combat and puzzle-solving challenges along the way, some of which were briefly showcased in the gameplay trailer.
