Expects the likes of your favourite Villagers, the Mines, or scenes from a calm farming life to come to Magic: The Gathering in late July 2026.
It was a busy beginning to the weekend, as Wizards of the Coast announced a slew of Secret Lair products at Magic Con: Amsterdam. These new Secret Lair products feature crossovers from other IPs, most unexpectedly the immensely popular farm life simulation video game Stardew Valley.
How is Stardew Valley appearing in Magic: The Gathering?
A new Superdrop of the Moonlight Jellies was revealed to be coming to Secret Lair, featuring items, locations, Villagers, and more from Stardew Valley.
This superdrop consists of three drops: Secret Lair x Stardew Valley: Welcome to Stardew Valley, Secret Lair x Stardew Valley: Life in Pelican Town, and Secret Lair x Stardew Valley: A Flicker in the Deep.
The Superdrop of the Moonlight Jellies will arrive on the Secret Lair webpage at midnight (GMT+8), 28 July, 2026.
What is inside Secret Lair x Stardew Valley: Welcome to Stardew Valley?

This drop features classic 16-bit pixel art from Stardew Valley creator ConcernedApe, and it most notably introduces a brand new to Magic: The Gathering land card Stardew Valley (which is a little peculiar, considering that Wizards of the Coast had previously committed to not printing mechanically new cards in Secret Lairs).

Besides Stardew Valley, fans will receive seven other cards: Wedding Ring as “Mermaid’s Pendant” (featuring Elliot), Dawn’s Truce as “Pierre’s Truce”, (featuring Caroline and Pierre) Sword to Plowshares, Rites of Flourishing (featuring Penny and Vincent), Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis as "The Welcoming Committee" (featuring Mayor Lewis), Sol Ring, as well as a Food token (featuring Willy).

What is inside Secret Lair x Stardew Valley: Life in Pelican Town?
In this drop, the mostly tranquil Pelican Town is reimagined in a 3D art form that is clearly the antithesis of pixel art, with landmarks like the Community Center (the art seems to feature the restored version) and the Tower of Rasmodius taking centre stage in the cards Fountainport and Command Tower respectively.

This drop will also feature cards like Crop Rotation, Homeward Path as “Pelican Town”, and Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth as “Valley Farmstead”. It is a small pity that Jojamart isn't featured in this drop.

What is inside Secret Lair x Stardew Valley: A Flicker in the Deep?
What is a Stardew Valley crossover without a nod to the Mines and Minerals in the game? A Flicker in the Deep will bring fans back to the wild adventures in the Mines with cards like Mitotic Slime as “Big Slime”, Treasure Vault featuring treasure chests players can find in certain floors, as well as Arcane Signet featuring a Prismatic Shard.

This drop also features Atsushi, the Blazing Sky as “Royal Serpent” from the Skull Caverns, Sword of Forge and Frontier as “Galaxy Sword” (one of the Secrets in the game), an Ooze token, and of course, a Treasure token.

What else is in the Stardew Valley superdrops?
Select bundles will also come with an additional promo card Puca's Mischief as “Lucky Purple Memento”, featuring what is presumably Mayor Lewis' Lucky Purple Shorts.

What were the other Secret Lair drops announced?
Besides the crossover with Stardew Valley, a Secret Lair Commander Deck: Hatsune Miku was announced, alongside A Marvelous Mathoms (featuring The Hobbits), A Perfectly Normal Superdrop, and The Most Powerful Superdrop in the Universe (featuring Masters of the Universe).
Outside of the seven Food tokens already announced for A Marvelous Mathoms, details about the other drops are limited (to attendees of Magic Con: Amsterdam), but expect more information to come in the near future.
