God of War Sons of Sparta revealed, launches today
Publisher Santa Monica Studio is teaming up with game developer Mega Cat Studios to make an all-new 2D action-platforming game set in the God of War franchise. God of War Sons of Sparta delivers a canonical story starring Kratos and his brother Deimos, as the two train to become Spartan warriors amid harsh training in the Agoge, a Spartan training program.
Voice actor TC Carson, who originally played the role of Kratos in the God of War prequel trilogy and spin-offs before Christopher Judge took over in Norse-era duology, will return to narrate the new game. The game will feature pixel animation and new monsters from Greek mythology, with 2D action-packed gameplay.
Kratos will be able to fight with his spear and shield, along with divine artifacts called the Gifts of Olympus, to take down his foes.

The game is now available on PlayStation 5 at the following price points:
- Standard Edition of God of War Sons of Sparta: US$29.99
- Digital Deluxe Edition of God of War Sons of Sparta: US$39.99
