Game developer AdHoc Studio has announced a release date for its upcoming debut game Dispatch, a superhero game that features the likes of Aaron Paul, Jeffrey Wright, and several members of Critical Role in its ensemble cast. The game will launch in an episodic format, with the first episode releasing on 22 October, 2025.

Dispatch confirms October release date
AdHoc Studio, a game studio made up of former Telltale Games developers who worked on The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, and Tales From the Borderlands, has announced a release date for its debut project.
The studio’s upcoming game is called Dispatch, following an ex-superhero named Robbie Robertson who works at the Superhero Dispatch Network, an agency tasked with deploying superheroes to stop crimes around the city. Players will have to step into Robbie’s shoes and use their best judgement to use the right heroes to stop the right crimes.
Much like Telltale’s iconic narrative adventure games, Dispatch also features dialogue choices that will impact its story and characters. That means Robbie is going to have to choose his words wisely, or risk enraging the superpowered team he works with.
Dispatch features quite a stacked cast. The game stars Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) and Jeffrey Wright (The Batman), along with Critical Role’s Laura Bailey, Matthew Mercer, and Travis Willingham. Jacksepticeye, Alanah Pearce, Yung Gravy, and MoistCr1TiKaL also star, among others.
In addition to revealing the game’s release date this week, AdHoc Studios has also confirmed that the game will release episodically. Dispatch is formatted as a four-episode season of playable television, with each episode launching one week apart. Players will have to wait just one month to complete the whole game, as opposed to the Telltale games of yore, which would take months to release new episodes.
Dispatch launches on 22 October, 2025, on PC and PlayStation 5.
