Mega Victreebel has been revealed for Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
The Pokémon Company appears intent on introducing more Mega Evolution forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, having revealed an all-new one this week: Mega Victreebel. This adorably ugly Pokémon was revealed in a found footage horror-themed trailer, which follows several Pokémon trainers exploring an abandoned house.
Things quickly go off the rails, however, when Mega Victreebel crashes through a wall and starts spewing acid everywhere. Poor thing.

Mega Victreebel announced for Pokémon Legends: Z-A
Pokémon Legends: Z-A is introducing an all-new Mega Evolution: Mega Victreebel. The Pokémon Company previously teased the announcement with an ominous image of a mysterious metal fence in the nighttime. That announcement led to the release of a new trailer, following young trainers as they explore a haunted house.
At first, the trainers encounter a fair few spooky Pokémon, like Espurr and Spinarak, while exploring the house. However, things come to a head when a massive Pokémon crashes through a wall and scares all of the trainers off. The Pokémon turns out to be Victreebel’s Mega Evolution, who appears with its trainer. The poor thing appears to be spooked itself, and only calms down when it reverts back to just being Victreebel.
The Pokémon Company describes Mega Victreebel as such:
This Grass- and Poison-type Pokémon looks surprisingly intimidating thanks to its immense and swollen body. The Mega Evolution of the Flycatcher Pokémon bounces around with a large amount of acid stored within it—acid that can not only melt through steel but also gives off a dizzyingly sweet scent.
It looks like Mega Victreebel’s choker–the plant vines twirled tightly around its neck–is meant to keep its acid from spilling out. As it stands, the Pokémon resembles a forbidden drinking gourd, and one of the freakier additions to the Mega Evolution dex. Mega Victreebel and Mega Dragonite are currently the only two new Mega Evolutions included in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
