Creatures from the world of Terraria are coming to Palworld next week.
Pocketpair has officially set a release date for its upcoming Palworld x Terraria collaboration, entitled Tides of Terraria. The collaboration will serve as a major update for Palworld, adding monsters from the world of Terraria to the game on top of new Palworld-specific content like new Pals and islands.
The update will launch on 25 June, 2025. Watch the animated release date trailer below:
Palworld x Terraria crossover update launches next week
The worlds of Terraria and Palworld are colliding. On 25 June, 2025, developer Pocketpair is launching a crossover with the hit indie survival game Terraria, entitled Tides of Terraria. The crossover was first announced in November last year, but few details of its contents were revealed at the time.
A new animated trailer released this week did not show off any gameplay for the collab, but seems to hint at a few of its upcoming features. In the trailer, which features music from Terraria, Palworld’s protagonist goes on a subterranean adventure and scores a sword, before being chased back to shelter by several bats. After entering a home, they’re approached by a familiar Terraria boss, the Eye of Cthulhu.
The trailer closes with a brief glimpse of the Moon Lord, Terraria’s Cthulhu-like final boss, though it is unknown if the enemy will actually appear in this crossover. Here’s Pocketpair’s description of the crossover, as per a Steam post:
"Palworld: Tides of Terraria" is a major update that introduces a collaboration with the adventure game "Terraria", which has sold over 60 million copies worldwide. The world of Terraria collides with Palworld! Capture, train, fight, and work monsters from Terraria just like Pals...? A large update that can be enjoyed by fans of Palworld and Terraria! In addition to the collaboration content, further new content will be added, including new Pals and new islands. The contents of the update will be announced across official Palworld social media channels over the next few weeks, so please follow!”
It looks like the Tides of Terraria update consists of much more than just a few creatures and items from the world of Terraria. The update might also include several new bossfights for Palworld, but we’ll likely learn more in the coming days.
