Team Liquid, OG, Tundra and more on the invite list for Elite League Season 2

With a boosted prize pool and tier one teams heading to Peru, Elite League Season 2 is shaping up to be the biggest LAN in South America since Lima Major.

Elite League Season 2 team list is now complete. Eight teams received direct invites from ESB, the tournament organiser, and will join later this month another six teams that claimed their spot in the tournament via regional qualifiers.

The tournament has a good mix of tier one and tier two teams, which makes it a very interesting competition to follow. Especially because it will take place at the end of the month, right after Riyadh Masters 2024 and a month before The International 2024. Some of the competitors at Elite League Season 2 are also fighting for the championship title at the aforementioned two tournaments, which are the biggest two of the season.

Besides giving the tier two scene a rare opportunity to test its power against some of the biggest names in the game, Elite League also has a generous $1,000,000 prize pool to offer.

Elite League S2 prize pool, format and venue

Initially, the tourney was announced with $800,000 on the line, but iIn a recent press conference held in Lima, Peru by ESB, it was revealed that the prize pool was bumped up to $1,000,000,000. The competition will feature three different stages starting with the six qualified teams placed in a modified Swiss group stage. ESB is yet to announce how many teams from the Swiss stage will make the cut to the next group stage.  

  • Swiss Group Stage: July 25 - 27
  • Round-Robin Stage: July 28 - 31
  • Playoffs: August 2-4

The last three days in the playoffs, August 2-4, will be held with a live audience at the ESAN Convention & Sports Center. The venue can host around 1000 people with extra space being arranged in an outdoor area. The ticket prices for each day of the event range between $42 and $84 and can be purchased at ticketmaster.pe.
