Wang "Ame" Chunyu has announced he will be taking a break from competitive play and has been moved to inactive status for PSG.LGD.
PSG.LGD has been at the top of not only the Chinese Dota 2 scene but of the international circuit for the last few years. The organization is iconic. Their TI runs have been both thrilling and heartbreaking.
But after two years, big changes are ahead.
Posted on LGD's weibo account, Wang "Ame" Chunyu will be taking a break from competitive Dota 2.

On the premise of respecting the player’s' wishes and understanding his personal needs, and after an internal discussion with the club and other friendly parties, we now announced: From now on, Wang Chunyu (ID : 萧瑟 or Ame ), a player of the PSG.LGD Dota 2 division of the LGD E-sports club, has become inactive and is taking a break

Ame has spent much of his decorated career playing for LGD. Starting in 2015 playing for CDEC Youth, he was then picked up by LGD in 2016. He spent the rest of his career (minus 7 months in 2020 on CDEC) playing under the LGD banner.
A two-time Major champion —MDL Changsha Major in 2018 and the WePlay AniMajor in 2021—never claimed the Aegis of Champions despite coming within inches of grasping it in 2018 and 2021.
PSG.LGD took a disappointing 5-6th place finish at The International 2022 despite topping the DPC ranks with 2240 points, more than 300 points ahead of second-place team Team Spirit.
Ame's departure leaves the team down to only two players just two days ahead of the roster lock.
One week ago Zhao "XinQ" Zixing parted ways with the organization. Zhang "Faith_bian" Ruida previously announced he was retiring.
On December 9 at 11:59 am PT the shuffle window will close.
