As the ESL One Malaysia 2022 inches closer to the conclusion, Team Aster has sauntered their way into the grand finals.

Team Aster and Team Secret have already faced off against each other in this event and on the new patch in the group stage. The result? A draw of one game each.

And at the end of the group stage, these two teams came out in 1st and 2nd respectively.

So heading into the upper bracket finals this series was expected to be intense, close, and filled with stellar performances.

In the first match of the series, Team Aster went with blue heroes and Team Secret went with red heroes. In all seriousness, Team Aster went with a lane-dominant draft and last-pick Luna. Team Secret went with lots of disables.

Team Secret started out strong and aggressive, but their team fights started to become chaotic, causing them to lose control. Team Aster's coordination and team fight strength started to give them momentum, advantage, and an impressive first-game victory.

Since red heroes didn't work for them Team Secret drafted blue heroes as well as the Enigma that helped them in their reverse sweep victory over OG earlier in the playoffs.

Things were very even to start the game off and both teams continued to volley kills, team fights, leads, and advantages through almost 30 minutes in before Team Aster started to build their momentum and dominance.

Always seeming to be a step ahead of Team Secret, having answers for anything thrown at them, Team Aster was able to masterfully handle the EU team with an impressive 2:0 sweep.

Team Aster advance to the grand finals scheduled for tomorrow, August 28th at 10:00 CEST.

Team Secret will drop to the lower bracket finals tomorrow, August 28th at 06:00 CEST to face off against the winner of OG vs Fnatic.
