Planet Odd sign Thunderbirds

The International 6 runner up boys just got signed by a new company venturing into the eSports world.

Planet Odd is a new company aiming to make a name for themselves in the eSports business. There is little to no info about who they are, other than the fact that the company is actually owned by Casumo, a casino located in Malta. Planet Odd announced their entrance on the eSports scene mid-April this year when they posted only a launch party promotional video. A few weeks later they signed a female CS:GO squad, three Hearthstone players and a team of five streamers.

Today, Thunderbirds announced that they are part of the Planet Odd family, but again without any other information attached to the nice cartoonish sketch of their players. Alyssa Thompson, manager of Thunderbirds mentioned however, that the team will continue to compete in DreamLeague under the old name for now.

With Planet Odd believed to be an European organization, given their location and given that they tagged on Facebook the eSports company launch party in Stockholm, it will be interesting to see if Thunderbirds will remain as a North American Dota 2 team or if they will relocate to Europe.

Planet Odd roster:

Romania Aliwi ‘w33’ Omar
Ukraine Roman ’Resolut1on’ Fominok
Canada David ‘Moon’ Tan
Macedonia Martin ‘Saksa’ Sazdov
Denmark Rasmus ‘MiSeRy’ Filipsen
