And then there were none...DuBu, QO and Febby leaves MVP

All five of The International 6's MVP.Phoenix line-up have left the team, leaving the Korean organization with no roster for the upcoming join period.

The MVP.Phoenix roster which achieved a 5th-6th place finish at The International 6 has dispersed after their three remaining players left the team. Sun 'QO' Kim, Yongmin 'febby' Kim and Dooyoung 'Dubu' Kim became free agents after leaving MVP.P on the 31st of August.

GosuGamers reached out to MVP.P's manager and confirmed that the departure of the three players does not signify the end of the MVP.P line-up. The motives behind the player's decision to leave the roster was to "open every option and possibility" and to give the players "more time", ensuring the player choose the path they are happiest with. It was also said that the trio wants to stay with the team.

For this post-TI shuffle, MVP.P had their members gradually leaving despite their strong performance in TI6. On the 19th and 23rd of August, the team's mid/carry player, Noah 'MentalProtector' Pyo, and offlaner, Sang-Don 'Forev' Lee departed from the team; both players were subsequently picked up by Team Secret.

Over the past two years, MVP.P's rosters have always tended towards a hyper-aggressive play-style and strong offline performances. As the sole Korean representatives at TI5 and TI6, they have achieved a 7th-8th place and 5th-6th place finish at the two TIs respectively.

First , They all want to stick actually . But they all want a good offer, but maybe MVP just can't afford what they are expecting right now. They are not the old MVP anymore that always tries to be top at SEA level only , trying to beat RAVE and FNATIC . They are now the MVP that consistently TOPS in worldwide, beating teams like OG in TI. Yeah I think MVP cant just affford them now.

You took words straight out of my mouth. Well said.

        good to hear mate

Impressive results calls for a fatter check, so yeah, that's trouble. We want to see a risky angelic investor pickup a team right now. Or this idea in which the fans will sponsor their team for a major.

"trying to beat RAVE " - make sure you are providing the accurate information. the 2 MVP teams got the SEA qualifier denying both Rave and TNC the chance (info: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/dota2/The_International/2015/Main_Qualifiers/Southeast_Asia) so "trying" is false

they are not the OLD MVP , OLD means those days before TI5 where in RAVE is still on fire and can win against strong top SEA teams RAVE and MVP are those the ones who dominates in sea before , I consistently see them being on the finals on SEA tournas .. I ain't talking about their TI5 run , im talking about their past and how they come into TI5

Coming from a starcraft 1 semi-pro player who watched korean pro scene when slayer_boxer was uan known player, its sad to see dota has so little popularity in Korea (i am not korean). It was nice to watch MVP grow from a "jokish" tier 3 team to TI contender, we all gonna miss the korean overlords if MVP disbands. Dota has never been so amazing and diverse to watch.
    • James "Yared" A ,
If you've read QO's recent interview, you'll know just how sad it is for Dota 2 in Korea. Damn the market share, but on the one hand, following in Japan is steadily growing!

It might be good for the scene, if you ever unleash the Koreans in this game they will dominate it, as they did in BW and LoL... :D Who were you btw? I was administering a semi-pro broodwar team...

    Well played Team Secret.
