TnC and Execration have their visas approved

One day before their flight to Seattle, both Filipino teams have finally received their P1-Athlete visas for United States of America.

Earlier this morning the #LetPHPlay social media campaign has turned to #PHWillPlay TI6 as both TnC and Execration officially announced the good news. After a long and intricate process where both teams were firstly advised by the United States embassy to apply for P1 (Athlete) Visas and got rejected, then rejected again for B1-B2 (Business-Tourist), last week TnC and Execration were facing the impossibility of getting their travel sorted out in time for The International 6. With their hopes crushed, TnC and Execration asked for and received great support from Senator Benigno Bam Aquino, the Philippine eSports Organization’s Tryke Gutierrez, U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell and Valve, who joined forces and helped the two teams process their third visa applications in time.

Known for his relentless support for the Filipino eSports scene, Senator Benigno Bam Aquino was first to congratulate the teams on his Faceebok and Twitter accounts:

Out of tens of thousands of teams vying to qualify for this competition, only 18 will compete - and 2 are from the Philippines! I would like to wish our Philippine teams good luck as they represent our country in the world stage! We are very proud of you!”

Execration statement:

We would like to thanks Senator Bam and his team for the non-stop support and assistance they render for the Filipino teams. Thanks to Valve, who give their best to support and help both teams to attend the Dream "The International 6" with a special help again from our Dear US Senator Maria Cantwell who did help also the other Teams in the past Tournaments , and now she extended her help for the Filipino Team which is a great honor.”

TnC statement:

We are very happy to announce that the U.S. Embassy has approved our team's application for P-1 Visa to participate in The International 2016! We are going to Seattle guys! We would like to sincerely thank Senator Bam Aquino and all of his hardworking staff. It has been many sleepless nights but you are always there supporting us. Without your sincere efforts, this will not be possible. Your push for e-sports in our country is greatly valuable for the whole community. Thank you very much! Also, we would like to thank the office of U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell for helping us to process the P-1 Visa application. ”

The two teams will fly to Seattle tomorrow, July 30 with no time to rest for Execration who will get straight into business as they have to play the Wild Card qualifiers for a spot into TI6 main event.

TnC on the other hand, are the winners of the second regional qualifiers round and will debut at the biggest Dota 2 tournament on 3rd of August when TI6 group stage will commence.
