Na'Vi eliminate compLexity Gaming from ESL One Frankfurt

The final series of the day would see Na’Vi and compLexity Gaming battling it out to avoid elimination.

Game One

Four minutes into the game, coL took a favourable 2-1 trade, claiming first blood for themselves. The game seemed to have a rather fast pace, with five kills going each way by eight minutes. The Dire-sided Na’Vi claimed an aegis at thirteen minutes, and the game continued with both teams farming. When the first big team fight broke out soon after fifteen minutes, coL took down two from Na’Vi and lost none.

Na’Vi looked in complete control of the game though, as they dropped four of coL before they pushed down the tier two tower mid. But the Radiant team weren't ready to give up, pushed down bot and dropped three from Na’Vi's line up in a perfectly manufactured team fight. With thirty five minutes gone, coL had a lead on the kill front and both teams began to dance around the Roshan pit. When coL attempted to push the high ground mid instead of Roshan, Na’Vi mustered their defenses and wiped the Radiant team and then went on to drop the bottom barracks.

At forty eight minutes Na’Vi pushed their way onto the high ground again and dropped the mid barracks, but coL managed to utilise their buybacks to take down four from Na’Vi. Even with two barracks down, coL were not prepared to give up and marched into the Rosh pit to claim their first aegis of the game. But on the back of this, Na’Vi hunted the Radiant down, picking them off one at a time before coL threw in the towel and called GG.

Game Two

A quick first blood went the way of Na’Vi before a minute passed, giving Na’Vi an early score line lead. Na’Vi continued to get kills around the map, utilising Sonneiko’s Sand King to find pick off’s across the map and by eight minutes Na’Vi found themselves in a 7-3 lead. Throughout the early game, Sand King continued to be the thorn in the side of coL and by eighteen minutes they were 19-8 down. Na’Vi used this timing to enter the Rosh pit to claim their first aegis of the game.

With twenty two minutes gone, Na’Vi had complete control, finding kills everywhere across the map – and with this, they went high ground top and dropped the barracks. The Radiant then wiped coL’s team and at that compLexity Gaming called the game.

With that, coL sadly exits ESL One Frankfurt, taking 5th/6th place while Na’Vi move forward into the semi-finals and will face off against Vega Squadron tomorrow.
