All eight teams traveling to the ESL One Frankfurt LAN event next month have been confirmed following LGD's 3-1 victory over VG.Reborn.
After several days of intensive games in the best of three single elimination bracket for the ESL One Frankfurt Chinese qualifiers, LGD triumphed over VG.Reborn with a 3-1 score in the best-of-five grand finals. With this victory, LGD confirmed that they will be representing China against seven other teams at the ESL One Frankfurt LAN event on the 18th and 19th of June in Frankfurt, Germany.
LGD's Lu 'Maybe' Yao had an impressive performance over the four games played in the series, kicking off with a 21/1/6 KDA Queen of Pain. In the subsequent LGD victories, the spotlight alternated between Maybe and Zheng 'Agressif' Sun; both players topped the net worth chart and ended game three without a single death. In game four, Agressif had a KDA of 16/2/20 while Maybe had over a 1000 GPM on his Alchemist.
In the only game VG.Reborn won, they had to claw their way to victory after a poor laning stage against LGD's high tempo line-up. Utilizing a mix of strong team fight execution and tower defense, they were able to hold until their Slark farmed a BKB. This BKB pick disrupted LGD's reliance on magic control and quickly turned the tide of battle.
