Global eSports Cup day two recap: Things not looking good for NLG

The recap for the second day of the Global eSports Cup playoffs. Currently, NLG are on shaky grounds and 4C&L have guaranteed themselves a spot in the next stage.

NLG and 4C&L have finished playing all of their games; 4C&L did very well, topping the group with a 4-1 win-loss record - the same cannot be said for the NLG who have also finished all their games with no wins, three ties and two losses.

Today will feature Vega, coL, MVP.P and Empire finishing their remaining matches. The day will kick off with Vega vs coL at 09:00 CET.

The recaps for the first three games of day two can be found here

NLG vs MVP.P:

Game one:

The game didn't go NLG's way at all. It started with MVP.P's mid SF scoring a few kills on NLG's Viper during the laning stage. This heavily hurt NLG's strong aggressive lineup, delaying their timing and allowing MVP.P to farm up their cores. When NLG got their core items up, they found out it was too late and fell to the MVP's farmed SF and Jugg, eventually giving up. Jugg ends the game with a 11/0/12 KDA.

Game two:

The game was basically decided in under ten minutes, with NLG's Tiny getting four kills in ten minutes, forcing MVP to deal with him and the Antimage. MVP failed to shut down both and found themselves quickly overwhelmed by NLG's much stronger heroes.

MVP.P vs 4C&L:

Game one:

Both sides managed to hit their timing in this game, MVP, with their Gyro and Alchemist propelled themselves into the lead in the mid-game, winning a few fights and taking map control. But the Wisp-Tiny combo of 4C&L managed to hold the pushes by MVP and eventually managed to battle against MVP's heroes, clearing the way for a 4C&L victory.

Game two:

Once again, MVP fell to a Tiny. Securing three kills before ten minutes and his blink by 13 minutes, the Tiny took control of the game and dominated MVP. Backed up by Wisp and his team, Tiny continuously smashed MVP until the Korean squad had not choice but to call the GG.

NLG vs Complexity:

Game one:

Complexity was unable to find their momentum this game, with NLG winning all their lanes and finding constant ganks. The kill score was 10-1 at 12 minutes. Utilizing the lead with their TA and Doom, NLG rode the momentum and crushed Complexity before they can attempt to stage a comeback.

Game two:

The game was slightly in Complexity's favor, being able to secure more kills than NLG for most of the match. However, as the mid-game arrived, Complexity took multiple good teamfights and eventually built a lead that Complexity couldn't defend against.
