Two days after the release of the Dota2 Asia Championship compendium was released, the prize pool of the tournament has sky rocketed and is now above $1,000,000.

Reflecting the sucess of The International's compendium, the sales of the DAC's compendium have pushed the prize pool above the $1,000,000 mark; making this the third tournament in the history of competitive Dota to feature a public contribution prize pool of more than $1,000,000 and the first outside of The International.

As of the writing of this article, the prize pool is $1,064,777 and ten out of the eleven stretch goals have been attained. It is not known whether more stretch goals will be added.

DAC is widely seen as The International of the East and seems to be living up to expectations in terms of a huge prize pool and community hype as observed from $750,000 contributed to the prize pool in two days and the total prize pool of more than $1,000,000.
