Na'Vi replaces fng with Goblak

Ukrainian powerhouse Natus Vincere has now officially released fng and replaces him with former Virtus.pro Polar captain Goblak. A direct swap with Virtus.pro Polar could take place as fng has been seen playing with the squad lately.

Last weekend, during the DreamHack Masters Buchares LAN event, Virtus.pro Polar announced the departure of their captain Artur 'Goblak' Kostenko. Interestingly enough, the organization also disclosed that Kostenko would move to Natus Vincere, even though Na'Vi was actually on LAN and participating with their normal and official roster.

Now the Ukrainians have officially released a statement, confirming that Goblak will indeed join the team. He will be replacing Artem 'fng' Barshak. It seems as if Na'Vi intended on waiting with the announcement until the D2CL LAN finals were done, but woke up to a rather unpleasant surprise on Saturday morning.

"This decision has nothing to do with Artem's level of game performance, the results at D2CL proving that. However the squad's results of the last tournaments showed that the team has lacked the leader's decisions lately."

Former Power Rangers captain fng has been rumored to leave the team for quite some time, as he has already been demoted as designated captain and drafter ever since ESL One New York. The youngster has shown promising performances throughout the year, but was unable to lead Na'Vi to glory.

For Goblak, it is yet another return to the Na'Vi brand, having played for the organization back in 2010 and being a coach for the squad during The International 2014.

As for fng, he has been playing with Virtus.pro Polar in the past days and the team displayed promising performances. In addition, VPP has been playing with former Empire player Andrew 'Mag' Chipenko instead of Roman 'Scandal' Radotenkov. An official announcement or statement regarding an update on their roster has yet to be made.

New Na'Vi roster:
Ukraine Danil 'Dendi' Ishutin
Ukraine Alexander 'Xboct' Dashkevich
Ukraine Gleb 'Funn1k' Lipatnikov
Russia Ivan 'Vanskor' Skorokhod
Ukraine Artur 'Goblak' Kostenko (C)
