Execration bites the dust

Change has struck the shores of the Philippines Dota 2 community as Execration has officially disbanded post The International 2014 SEA qualifiers.

Change is the only constant - an apt saying that can be associated with the Philippines Dota 2 community, as Execration, a notable and one of the strongest Filipino team has officially called it quits. Execration is the third casualty in the SEA region after Rex Regum Qeon and Orange Esports, to undergo a shuffle post The International 2014 SEA qualifiers.

In an interview with Mineski, Bong 'BG01' Silva, captain of Execration expresses his dissatisfication over his team's performance who were touted as one of the strongest teams going into the qualifiers. He also speaks over the team's atmosphere being plagued with internal issues that were never settled and how the team couldn't fully utilize the resources they had at their disposal.

Please (to the teams) be responsible enough. You don't need to be a full-time gamer to be strong. Learn to manage your time efficiently. Learn to divide your time for your family, school or work or girlfriends and other things. You need to set your priorities. I know there are players that only plays for money.  They always say they can't play or even practice because they have no money but deep inside they have no passion for the game. Becoming a champion has a lot of sacrifices.

GosuGamers also reached out to Michael 'Ninjaboogie' Ross on the disbandment news, to which he humbly replied, "Yeah sure disband." However, this is not the end of the road for Execration as they will search for new players to fill up the roster.
