Na`Vi vs Alliance: A do-or-die situation

In the first game, the Ukrainians ran Lifestealer and Bane Elemental on the bottom lane and through a rotation from the Chen, Na`Vi was able to get the First Blood on the Windrunner. It was obvious that Na`Vi is highly focused on the bottom lane as they continuously poured heroes down to kill Timbersaw and Windrunner. With a 8-1 lead in 7 minutes, Na`Vi decided to start pushing towers to widen the gap. After a slight mishap on the middle lane which resulted in the death of three, Na`Vi regrouped themselves and took two big fights at the 16th and 17th minutes to mark their territory in Alliance's jungle. By 24 minutes, Doom is too farm and could just walk into Alliance's base, not fearing retaliation. Alliance forfeited game one.

Alliance tried to turn thing around in game two by picking the Tiny and Io but great rotations from Puppey's Chen and KuroKy's Lion sealed Na`Vi the early lead in game two. Mere 13 minutes in, Dendi's Puck was already on a Monster Kill streak after killing Clockwerk on the bottom lane. With the money saved up, Puck opted for the Dagon build and wisely so considering his skills combo killed the Crystal Maiden multiple times before engagements began. Na`Vi continuously pushed as five to avoid the Relocate ganks. Desperate for a kill, Alliance initiated a three-man gank on Lifestealer and while they got the kill, Clinkz's appearance on the battlefield wiped Io, Clockwerk and got Tiny low enough for the catapult to kill him. There was no coming back for Alliance from that point onwards.

Third game started out really slowly as both teams took their time to farm some items before going all out banging. The score stayed at 4-2 in favour of Alliance for the majority part of the first 13 minutes but that was when Na`Vi started turning things around. The early Blink Dagger on Puck was able to secure Na`Vi a few pick-offs which led to a four kill advantage. Meticulous plays from the Ukrainians in the mid-game secured themselves more kills and all of the sudden, at 18 minutes, Na`Vi is leading 14-5. Despite the huge advantage, Na`Vi could not push into Alliance's base. The Swedes defended their base for 20 minutes before winning a crucial fight and picked off Juggernaut to take down Na`Vi's middle barracks. Alliance slow sieged Na`Vi's top melee barracks. Eventually, the fight boiled down for the final Aegis of the game. Na`Vi was able to sniped the Roshan and the Aegis before Alliance could make it back and with the Aegis, Na`Vi throttled down the bottom lane and took another fight outside the Swedes' base for the win.

With the clean sweep, Na`Vi is set up for revenge against Fnatic in the grand final while Alliance will disappointingly finish third in front of their home crowd. They will however, walk away with $7,500 in cash for their effort.
