Mousesports stays in the tournament at the expense of Team Empire who unfortunately have to leave the playoffs early due to elimination. EG advances through the tournament as Team Dignitas forfeits due to internet issues.
Mousesports went in as the favourites vs Empire and came out as the favourites vs Empire. They did however look shaky in the second game, where Empire's negative armor start almost got the better of them. If not for the massive overextension by Empire, mousesports would have been likely to lose the game. Instead of patiently pushing and taking down the buildings, Empire dove behind it all, eager for kills. They got punished severely and could not recover after it.
At midnight (or 6pm EST) Evil Geniuses will be playing the fellow Americans of Team Dignitas, a match where both teams' survival in the tournament is at play.
Corsair Gaming Summer Tournament will be streamed by BeyondtheSummit. The tournament can also be followed inside the client, the ticket costs $2.99 USD and is available at the Dota 2 Steam store.
You can also stand a chance to win a gaming computer courtesy of Corsair here.

Match report - mousesports vs Team Empire
Game 1

Mouz claimed the first blood bot lane with the early gank from syndereN and his centaur, but other than that the game started rather static. Empire sent their trilane bottom to slow down the Anti-Mage while the two solo lanes were going even. LightofHeaven, once hitting some levels, moved down to the bot lane and mid to find a kill. Meanwhile Blow took over the safe lane. A greedy track kill way behind the enemy lines caused Empire to lose heroes in return. Mouz rotated up some heroes to the top lane in an attempt to sink Gyro but a clutch last second sleep from Bane saved Gyro's life and Empire got a tracked kill instead.
Empire kept going into the enemy jungle, trying to find kills, but they once again got picked off and lost three heroes. Empire attempted Roshan but mousesports intercepted and won the fight due some out-of-sync ability combos by Empire. After that, both Sand King and Nyx picked up Dagons. If that was not enough, Sand King kept upgrading his Dagon. Empire found a few kills in the period after that though, mostly on Qoqjva who kept getting caught. At the next Roshan, mouz brought it all back again where Empire tried to steal the Aegis but got massively punished for it. They called the "gg" after it.

Game 2

Empire ran the negative armor strategy in game 2, picking up Alchemist and Vengeful to support the Shadow Fiend and to counter the Lifestealer. FATA, who played the mid Nyx maxed out the Manaburn before the stun due to lane presence and it being very useful vs Dark Seer. To deal with the armor negation, Black picked up Aquila and Dominator as his first items. The game continued in a static fashion, only five kills the first 15 minutes. Shadow Fiend picked up his BKB after that and Empire grouped up to take down the tier 1 mid tower. Sadly, all of mouz disconnected right when they were about to defend it, lost syndereN and his creeps and had to forfeit the fight. They did however deny the tower.
An extended chase on Black resulted in a mousesports almost team wiping Empire (Black did go down though) but Empire bounced down quickly, took some fights where their heavy right clicks dealt the damage necessary. Empire were taking control of the game but lost their advantage when they overextended massively, diving the tier 3 tower bot where they got impatient and fed a triple kill to Black. A huge pick-off for Empire happened on the top lane where Blow blinked offensively and killed mouz' courier, which was carrying a gem at the time. Empire picked up the gem and forced a fight at mouz's top tower. Despite Shadow Fiend dealing massive damage, the teams traded quite even, with Black surviving and Blow not.
Mouz were once again in the dominant position, especially after Black getting a double kill in a situation where Empire initationed on him with a swap. After an even game, the curves had now massively shifted in mouz' favour. They went on to take down Roshan where Empire awkwardly went in to fight right after but got outplayed. Mousesports pushed down the mid barracks and Empire was done for.

Match report - Dignitas vs Evil Geniuses
Game 1
In the first game of the best of three series, Dignitas ran a rather unconventional lineup by picking Doom and placing him at the midlane up against Jeyo's Prophet. The game started out very intensely with numerous clashes from both trilanes at the top lane resulting in three fast kills at minute two. Both teams continue to trade kills at top lane until EG reached a crucial point in the lineup where both Nyx Assassin and Bounty Hunter are able to reach level six. With the intense pressure from the tri-ganking combo: Nyx Assassin, Nature's Prophet and Bounty Hunter, Dignitas were picked off easily and were forced to play safe. However, the game was cut short as Dignitas forfeited the game after experiencing internet issues. Game one was forced to a short end leaving spectators and EG feeling very confused.
Dignitas, despite this best of three being the last chance they had in the tournament, decided to forfeit the next game all together. Dignitas were unable to fix their internet issues and as the admins were unable to reschedule game two of the match, EG will receive a default win. EG will advance forward to the tournament while Dignitas is eliminated.
