ToSsGirL crossing gender line

[s]interview[/s]

For as long as StarCraft Brood War has been around there has been a progaming scene for the game. But until a little while ago, the female gamers never had their chance. But, now the female progaming league is just as popular as ever. There are many stars that shine in the female league, but no star shines like the powerhouse of the females, Korea ToSsGirL.

Seo Jee Soo, born in Korea in 1985, started playing StarCraft as a Protoss gamer. But, as her skills got better and she started to face more intense opponents, she decided to switch to Terran.

ToSsGirL for a long time now has been known for her skills as a female progamer in the female league. Until now no real female has made an attempt to join the males in the regular proleagues. ToSsGirL is about to make the giant leap.

In an interview after match versus Jo Yongsung, Korea ELIZA, of the eNature Top progaming team, ToSsGirL explains her mistakes, and how nervous she was to be playing at such a high level.

- You do feel very nervous facing male opponents.
I am also nervous in the ladies' league...

She also explains how she trained very hard on the match up Terran versus Terran. She expected her opponents to be Protoss or Terran. She already had a "daredevil killer strategy" against Protoss, so she says. But, when she arrived at the stadium, she saw it, the Zerg.

To read more about what happened during the match and more about what she felt about the match and her progaming career so far check out the rest of the interview.
