ENCE qualify for DreamHack Summer

After winning the second closed qualifier yesterday ENCE will be playing for the $100,000 prize at DreamHack Summer.

Over the weekend 16 teams attended the second closed qualifier for a chance to compete at the third DreamHack tournament this year which will take place in Jönköping, Sweden later this month. After a decisive win against tRICKED eSports, ENCE secured their place in the 8-team tournament to play some of the best teams in the world; Astralis, Ninjas in Pyjamas, GODSENT and the new team Immortals who acquired the Tempo Storm line-up at the start of June.

ENCE performed impressively at the second closed qualifier despite being invited back after a 2-0 defeat to Team AGG in the Quarterfinals in the first closed qualifier. The Finnish team made it to the semi-finals without dropping a map and proceeded to beat Space Soldiers and dominate tRICKED eSports in the finals. The tRICKED squad stole the first map from ENCE on Train 16-10 but ENCE responded heroically with a 16-5 finish on Mirage and 16-6 on Dust II. Aleksi “Allu” Jalli really stood out in the games with 59 frags throughout the series and had the least deaths on the server, he was very instrumental in the victory and you have to wonder if he will repeat such a performance against his old team, Ninjas in Pyjamas.

Hence far the fixtures are unannounced but it will be necessary for the Finnish team to perform immediately against the higher tier teams if they want a chance at the $100,000 prize pool.
