Grand Prix 2016 for CS:GO?

Richard Lewis has just published a report on the possibility of creating a Grand Prix for Counter-Strike:Global Offensive in 2016.?

Following the news about an Esports team union and their demands, which were posted only two weeks ago, Richard Lewis has made another report with the same topic, but this time the spotlight being the creation of a CS:GO Grand Prix for next year.

As specified in his report, Richard Lewis said that he was informed of a possible coalition, which is currently in the process of formation, between the major tournament organisers in the CS:GO scene. MLG, CEVO, PGL, FACEIT and StarLadder are allegedly together in these talks, which would bring all the organisations mutual benefit.

We still remember that ESL attempted to organise something similar only a few months ago, however the information was leaked and the talks fell apart. Since then there was no information concerning anything identical, up until the point where the teams made their demands very clear regarding international events. They demanded $75,000 as a minimum prize pool, as well as all expenses being covered. Having in mind that some of the aforementioned tournament organisers' leagues do not meet all of these criteria, it was expected to see them working together on an alliance, in order to secure mutual benefits.

The final question is whether or not the Counter-Strike:Global Offensive competitive scene will benefit from this Grand Prix circuit? The answer to this question is heavily debatable, however, one thing is certain - that the competitive calendar would definitely look a lot less crowded.
