[s]starcraft[/s]Exactly six years ago, Blizzard released their new strategy title, which was to become the greatest game of all time. With titles such as WarCraft II and Diablo under their belt, the public sure had some high expectations, and StarCraft lived up to them all.

Over the years, StarCraft and the expansion set Brood War has received many heavy titles, such as "Greatest Game of All Time" by GameSpot, several Game of the Year Awards from different magazines, and the "Multiplayer Game of The Year" by Gamecenter. One of the biggest reasons for StarCraft's huge success is Blizzard's innovative Battle.Net system. Sure, there have been online match-up systems for games before, but none of them as good as Battle.Net.

The StarCraft community is a strong one, with many colorful characters, websites, leagues and tournaments. People might say that the game is old, but I say it's like wine - it just gets better with age. Its lasting charm is pretty impressive; it really makes you feel nostalgic.
