XyLigan wins 700€ at ASUS Summer

The ASUS Summer 2006 event was played this weekend and was totally dominated by fnatic, both by ending Top 3 in WarCraft 3, but also winning the Quake 4 tournament. XyLigan is the new ASUS Cup champion, winning ~700 €.

This weekend has been fully dominated by the Games Convention in Germany with all the Grand Finals in European Nations Cup and NGL-One. However, the Russian gaming scene had one of its peaks this weekend as the ASUS Summer 2006 took place, a tournament held in Moscow, Russia. The WarCraft 3 tournament was dominated totally by the fnatic players XyLigan, Rotterdamn and Abver, all ending Top 3. The former champion - SK.Deadman did not take part this year, as he was at the Games Convention playing for SK-Gaming in the NGL-One Season finals.

Winning this year's tournament turned out to be fnatic.XyLigan (picture) after beating his clanmate fnatic.Rotterdam in the final 2-0. The matches were not of a very good quality, Rotterdam writes at fnatic.com, due to being tired the whole day and a small headache.

A great tournament for fnatic, in which fnatic.Abver ended on third place, losing to Rotterdam in the Loser Bracket finals, after getting knocked out from Winner Bracket by XyLigan.
