Jonathan 'KiWiKaKi' Garneau was the first man out of the Extreme Masters Los Angeles playoffs, after losing to Lucifer and Susiria. Earlier, KiWiKaKi said if he played his best he could beat any player in the tournament. His aim was Top 3, but ended 7-8th.

After ending first place in Group B, defeating both FoCuS and DooKi in clear 2-0 wins, KiWiKaKi's self confidence was high. In a video interview he says that he played well because he was not as nervous as he usually is.
- Some other tournaments I was nervous and played bad, he says.

- I have a lot of practice in mirror matches, it's one of my strongest match-ups, he says.

Despite coming out on top in his group, his opponent in the playoffs was Lucifer, the Undead Korean who ended on a surprising second place in Group D. This time Lucifer had no trouble coming out on top. Winning on both Echo Isles and Secret Valley, Lucifer advanced to face his next opponent while KiWiKaKi went down in the loser bracket.

The loser bracket gave no easier opposition, as the Canadian Orc player went up against Lucifer's partner-in-crime: Susiria. A tough match awaited KaKi again and another loss was a fact.

What started so well for the young Canadian Orc player ended in a flat fall in the playoffs. Approaching tomorrow's finals, KiWiKaKi will have to sit aside and watch the games from the spectator seat.
