Led by IEM Season V champion Woo Seo "AcE" Jung, the all-Korean team consists of various notable players from teams like MVP, StarTale and FXO.
Heroes of the Storm does seem to be the new kid on the block everyone wants to hang out with. Although still in alpha, several eSports organizations have already dipped their toe in the competitive potential of the game and teams like mYinsanity, Curse and Team Empire - to name a few - already host Heroes of the Storm divisions.
The folks in the Mecca of StarCraft, South Korea, are not sleeping either. Yesterday, a Facebook post by ex-StarCraft 2 gamer Woo Seo "AcE" Jung, most known for his IEM Season V World Championship title, announced the founding of a compeititve Heroes of the Storm team, featuring a roster of players StarCraft 2 fans should be very familiar with.
AcE himself has been off the radar for a long time. In 2012, the StarTale Protoss was eliminated from GSL Code A Season 4 and failed to requalify for the tournament again. Unable to recapture his competitive success he enjoyed in 2011 and staying inactive since the Code A elimination, AcE now returns to eSports with Heroes of the Storm as captain and support player for his new team, No Limit.
The warrior roles for No Limit are taken by Noblesse and sC, former team-mates and Terran players at MVP. Another ex-Terran, Kong, will take one of the assassin roles while Zerg player CrazymoviNG, will man the other.
"Our roster is all ex-sc2 progamers so we all will be exceptionally professional about what we do," writes AcE in his Facebook post.
"Since we are all from RTS genre, we played different AOS games [Aeon of Strife, or Dota-like games - editor's note] to adapt, and put in a lot of effort to really understand the new genre.
We will show you as a representative of the powerhouse e-sports country that we are with this new Heroes of the Storm team."
