A StarCraft old-timer and three-times EPS champion, Socke was announced to be leaving team Alternate after being their member since May 2010. As a result, Alternat no longer have a running StarCraft 2 roster.

Coming from a BroodWar background, Socke is a true veteran of the eSports scene, being around for more than 12 years. As StarCraft 2 came and aTn's StarCraft 2 division was formed, Socke became the poster boy of the brand, representing it at more than 30 premier events in all of the major regions. Every year he was able to reap good results, placing third in MLG Raleign 2010, fourth in Assembly Winter and IEM Cologne in 2011, top eight at DH Stockholm in 2012 and 3rd/4th at IEM Katowice in 2013.

As most of aTn's players like ClouD, Delphi and DarkForce departed or retired in 2013, Socke eventually was left as the only active player for the team. Today, January 15th, Socke's departure was officially announced, leaving the division with zero players.

There is still no information where Socke will go after leaving aTn or if the organization will try to reform its StarCraft 2 team.
