EG.Puma defeated his protoss team-mate JYP in the Ro8 of the Intel Extreme Masters World Championship. The terran snatched the victory in a close five-map series and will face the winner of MMA and Zenio.

In game one, Puma went for a 1-base bio all-in but soon had to run back to his base as mid-way to JYP's base he met a large sentry force that he did not want to fight there and instead bait it at his natural and slaughter it there. Naturally, this was exactly how it went and despite the abundance of forcefields, JYP just could not handle the bio mass and gg-ed out after the counter attack.

Puma's aggressive style carried on to game two, where he opened with a banshee expand, followed with a 2-base 1/1/1. As this was denied by JYP's substantial zealot count, however, the terran could do nothing more but to type out. The score went quickly into Puma's favour once again, though, as on Daybreak JYP could not do any critical damage with his gateway pressure and the game snowballed out of control from there.

The words of Puma's inevitable and unquestioned superiority were once again refuted as JYP came back on Antiga Shipyard with a very convincing "no!" statement. The game was very passive and equal after Puma's very greedy 1-rax into double CC opening and the first real battle was one of two maxed-out armies clashing together. Puma aimed at taking a base of JYP but he only ended up losing all his ghost to a few colossus shots and the game kind of went downhill for him from that point on. JYP's templars had a psi storm heyday and without any EMPs, Puma was unable to fight off the inevitable archon presence, growing more threatening by the second.

In the final series on Cloud Kingdom, Puma tried to do a mid-game pressure onto JYP's natural and although the protoss lived, but the supply advantage for Puma could be physically felt - almost 40 ahead of his team-mate's. Still, JYP hung in there, slowly building up back to the 200 number only to be forced to defend another attack, this time at his third. A few EMPs and Viking shots put Puma as the victor and a minute later, JYP stormed his own probes to surrender the series in a flashy fashion.
