After Zenio destroyed Supernova in today's opening match, IEM Hanover entered a mirror match spree during which all but one foreigners were sent packing.

After living through his group in day one, it was only appropriate for the the European PvP mastermind Elfi to play another protoss in the Ro12. Elfi went against JYP, gaining an early lead after punishing the Korean's 3-gate blink into expansion build. That was all he accomplished, however, and as his warp prim play on Metropolis failed, followed by a loss against JYP's 4-gate in game three, Elfi could not find the strength to tie the series and tapped out for a third and final time on Daybreak.

By beating Real, Feast and Idra yesterday not without the support of his girlfriend and the home turf advantage, DarkForce was pitted against Empire's Violet in the third quarter final. The German went for a 6-pool right from the start but that was easily repelled by Violet, putting the Korean at 1-0. DarkForce, however, sprung back in game two, using ling run-byes to destroy Violet's queen, indirectly affecting the Korean's roach push later on, which would have been deadly had his macro was fully operational. Game three went to Violet after he defended his third against DarkForce's roach attack and then punishing him with a +1 roach counter. The final set saw the usual speedling/baneling antics and as that went heavily into Violet's favour, there wasn't much that DarkForce could do to come back.

The final quarter series so more or less early game victories in all its sets. Killer opened against Hasu with a double proxy gate in the German's base which Hasu had troubles defending. This was followed up with a blink stalker play from the Korean, that crippled HasuObs' colossus count early on, escalating into a mid-game victory. Third game saw Hasu trying to cheese his way out of the 0-2 disadvantage by going for a cannon rush but Killer was just too cool for that. The Korean kept his composure and produced stalker after stalker, always having the correct focus fire and eventually forcing HasuObs to tap out.

Witht he fall of Elfi, DarkForce and HasuObs, Feast remains as the only foreigner still standing in the IEM World Championship. Feast first place spot in Group D seeded him directly into the Ro8, to be played tomorrow, and his opponent there will be Complexity's Killer.
