Evil Geniuses say goodbye to Axslav, StrifeCro

As of January 18th, the EG roster is two players smaller as the foreign teams parted ways with Nick "Axslav" Ranish and Cong "StrifeCro" Shu, who leave the team after year and a half in the American organization.

StrifeCro and Axslav were signed in July 2010 and were the first new additions to the team besides the then existing roster. Famous for their WarCraft 3 2v2 prowess, the now Zerg/Protoss duo nourished EG's strength in team matches.

Although know for their cooperative play, the individual careers of StrifeCro and Axslav have passed mainly under the radar. The Zerg player made his most recent major appearance at IEM New York in 2011, failing to qualify from the group stage. Axslav has had a bit more success than his 2on2 partner, placing top 4 at IPL Season 1 and top 3 at the Verizon SC2 Open.

Cody “evoli” Conners, EG General Manager Wrote:
Nick and Cong are hardworking, driven players and both are close to everyone in the organization. It is with a heavy heart that we have to see them go, but we’ll be wishing them the best in the future.
