Quantic Gaming pick up female progamer Flo

Florence "Flo" Yao is the newest addition to the constantly growing roster of Quantic Gaming. The ZOWIE Divina finalist is joining a company of prominent players like Naniwa, Sase and Destiny.
Flo has been one of the most popular female progamers in the foreign world, attending several MLGs and finishing second at the ZOWIE Divina female cup to South Korea's Aphrodite. She was also supposed to make an appearance at DreamHack Winter this November, but cancelled her participation one day before the event.
My departure from ZOWIE was a hard decision, as they have already helped me a lot, but it needed to be done to join Quantic. Working with ZOWIE limited me from joining many organizations because of competitive sponsors, and I felt that being with an organization at the moment is crucial for my development as a Starcraft 2 player. ZOWIE respected my decision and I am truly grateful for their effort in assisting me through my career. Thank you, ZOWIE.

Not long ago, quite a lot haters spam / flame Kelly while she was doing GSL code A casting.  Main reason because she is a girl "chinese", and now she is gone.act of sexism! You people don't think it would be nice to see girls compete on pro level as equal? Flo atm probably is not best skilled player / talent they could recruit, but she could popularize sc2 among female population. | lets be honest all these girl gamers are just disappointing in esports, they never won anything except for these girls exclusive tournaments, even disabled male pros like space from wc3 were more successful than girls in esports. And i thoughts women were the better multitasker its such a media lie, it seems men are just superior or womens dont care about their performance they just are there to find a niche to make money. |

| you have to take into consideration the pool of male players being probably atleast 50-100X bigger, that being said there should have been a few exceptions with girls being able to compete at the top level even though this is true, if their ability/talent was as high. |
| I think it's cool. E-sports for women has to start somewhere. Of course a women haven't won a major tournament, most male gamers haven't either. Not every person who devotes time and effort is going to become a great starcraft player, but you need to start somewhere. This will hopefully spark some interest and get more women into it and perhaps one day there will be some really good female pro-gamers. | #15 Best post on the thread. I want to add that getting women into strong teams will allow them to practice much better. In the end they might end up being pretty good and perhaps on par with male pros. |

| I think it's great with females in Esports but I think it's quite "unfair" for those guys who are sooooooooo much better than the females standing there without a team and sponsors cuz of the competition in the normal scene. I mean, in real sports it makes sense that we split it up. Female footballers got their scene and male footballers got their scene. That since we got diffrent bodytypes and genetics. But there is nothing a woman cant do with her brain and fingers that a man can do. In that aspect we are still equals when it comes to Esports. It's good that girls joining in on the scene but it's sad to see that their low skill-level can bring in money for them with basically no competition. At least this girl is probably better than every other girl out there or something? Might sound harsh but it's the truth. |

| #20 you have it opposiste, what's sexism is to pick a person for that persons gender, and not that person's skill. These females wouldn't be picked if they were males, that is per definition sexism, if it was the opposite way and feminist group would be all over it. (if this comment is nuked to i hope i can get the reason for that to) edit: on the kellymilkis matter the reason she is gone is she simply wasn't popular. We the viewers have our full rights to have our own preferences, if we were to prefere male commentators the networkers(e.g. gomtv) would simply have to respond. Now that that's said i didn't like kellymilkis, mostly for her accent and "points" but i find moletrap allmost as bad, but thats another topic. (female voices also fit very well in with male voices to give it a more smooth sound) Back to the first point: GOMTV and oter networks however have to stay non-sexism it would be illegal to do anything else, therefor hiring females who have worse abilities then males should by any account be outragouse, and would definetly be a huge topic in any other world. These teams who does the same is kinda in the gray area, in for instance norway this could be seen as an illegal act of sexism, if they're registered as a normal company or organization, and could potentially lead to huge fines, im not sure about other countries though. This is however, if we could prove they wouldn't hire a man with the same attributes OR hired her over a man who they couldn't argue lacked a certain skill which she possessed or simply she was superior in a certain skill/the same at all. There is 1 problem tho, the teams base their whole income upon media exposure which in turn gives advertising money/sponsor money. Thereby you could argue the point that a girl will give more exposure. Which in turn would be defined as "playing on the sex". I find that lowly by a proffesional organization though, but that's how it is. |

| The only good female player that i have seen beating really good foreigners and even starcraft progamers is tossgirl, and she plays SC BW which is much more difficult game to be good at |
