Dong Nyung "Leenock" Lee is crowned Providence national champion. The MLG first timer ended his impressive run through the losers bracket with a trophy and a fat check in his hands.

In game one, Leenock tried to trick Naniwa by cancelling his expo and going for a 1-base roach all-in but the map itself was his biggest enemy. Naniwa stood safe behind his tight ramp as Leenock's units crashed powerless to their death.

On Shattered Temple Leenock once again went for a roach build (this time on two bases though) and almost got Naniwa's nexus but the Swede lived just long enough to get some stalkers out and chase the infestation away. Naniwa then transitioned to a stargate build but Leenock's defenses were ever vigilant - the Korean took care of the air threat and immediately launched a counter push with his big hydra/roach army. Once again Naniwa was against the ropes until his colossus popped out, giving him the opportunity to chase the zerg all the way back to his base. Thinking that he is in a better position than he actually was, Naniwa pushed just an inch further but suddenly the macro typhoon of Leenock swept him as corruptors and roaches sprung forward to clean his army and win the game.

Game three on Shakuras saw Leenock going for 7-pool but transitioning to quick three bases with overwhelming waves of mutalisks and banelings in the mid-game. Naniwa tried his best to hold his ground with colossi and forcefields until he succumbed to zerg's advance, giving Leenock the lead in the series.

Tal'Darim is a way better map for 1-base roach. Leenock knew that so this time he performed way better than in game one. So much better that he actually won the game at the seventh minute as the only defense of Naniwa was a sole cannon and a sentry.

And he did it once again in the final game of the series, killing the fast nexus and the forge (twice) before the 8th minute was past but instead of finishing the game, he transitioned into standard macro setting. That gave Naniwa a bit more time to make a proper stand but when he finally got the chance to move out he was met with baneling drops

Thus ended Leenock's astonishing run through the losers bracket all the way up to the Providence throne. Leenock fell to DongRaeGu in WB round two only to crush some of world's best like Boxer, MMA, Idra, HuK and Mvp before finally getting his revenge against DRG. Leenock was awarded $50,000 and the title of MLG national champion under the chants of of the Providence crowd.
