In a video interview, Bertrand "Elky" Grospellier was revealed to be sixteenth man in to the tournament. He is paired up in group D where France's most titled player Pierre "SarenS" Guivarch is considered favorite.
The tournament will start with group A, where the NVIDIA GosuCup silver medalist Benoit "Adelscott" Stripsteen will be locking horns with Zerg player Mathieu "hysteria" Giacometti. The other match is set to be between Didier "Didzz" Inthisone and well-known WarCraft 3 player Mateusz "hG" Pietrzak.
In a video interview, Adelscott says that he sees hG as the hardest opponent comparing to his previous encounters.
- "If I look at my last games against these 3 players, it's the game against hG that was the hardest. It is more tense because his style doesn't forgive, we can't make mistakes," says Adelscott.
- "Against Didzz and Hysteria, I think I have the advantage because my PvP is pretty good, same thing for my PvZ, Protoss vs Zerg, everything can happen so the maps were imposed to us. I will need to give it my best if I want to have a chance of winning."
Top two players of each group will advance to a single elimination playoff where group A winner takes on group B winner and vice versa. The same seeding applies for group C and D.
The first matches will go down on Friday, October 22 while VODs will be released on Saturday, October 23.
