LIVE BLOG: Intel Extreme Masters gamescom

Sunday, 11:15 - Enron

We are back at the venue, it seems like there's less people here today, but I'm sure it's going to be packed in the crowd for both of the matches today either way.

Dimaga is talking to someone 10 meters away from me, and he looks happy and fit for fight. MorroW was staying at the venue until around 23:00 CET last night, practicing TvZ, so it's going to be interesting to see what he can pull through against IdrA today.

We have interviewed MorroW, but the computer we use for video editing this time kinda lags, so I'm still not sure if I'll have it up today, but if I don't I'll get it up when I get back home. We will also interview some more guys of course, so look forward to that.

Saturday, 19:47 - Enron

Today's games are done and I'm really looking forward to the bronze and the grand final tomorrow at respectively 12:50 and 15:10 CET.

Saturday, 18:07 - Enron

The crowd sang the birthday song for IdrA, who today turns 21! Congratulations IdrA!

Saturday, 14:47 - Enron

I'm really looking forward to the semi finals, two ZvTs starting out with MorroW vs Dimaga, followed up with IdrA vs Tarson. My predictions yesterday for the quarter finals didn't go very well, but I will try again for the semi finals;

MorroW vs Dimaga
I think MorroW is going to win this one in a close set of games where the final score will be 3-2 for MorroW. It's a tough call though after seeing Dimaga taking down DeMusliM, and considering that MorroW rather prefers TvT.

IdrA vs Tarson
I'm pretty sure IdrA will take this one either 3-0 or 3-1, he's just so strong right now, and if Tarson plays straight up with no surprises I can't imagine anything else than IdrA winning. If my predictions are right we'll have a TvZ final, so let's hope for that.

Saturday, 12:31 - marCoon

We arrived at the venue at 11:30 and had some problems finding ourselves a spot in the ESL press-area. Eventually, we managed to find some space(kinda obvious, since I am writing this post). The TLO vs NaDa showmatch just finished, but I won't spoil the results here. The second game was pretty much SC1 TvT, which in my opinion made the game really cool, since it's so strategical and you're fighting for every small space. There was a larger crowd than usual and it felt korean, since they were pretty loud and really cheered for the players and clapped when they showed some good moves. That's it for now, but check back later for some more...

Friday, 19:12 - Enron

We met Day9 earlier and it was such a joy. He's a true entertainer, showed off a few dance moves before he walked up to us. He was really tired, and you could tell from the sound of his voice that he has been talking a lot the last three days, not in vain though, his casts with Apollo here have been a pure pleasure as always. Thank you Sean.

Friday, 16:56 - Enron

From the left; Marko, NaDa, Enron. Do I need to say more?

Friday, 15:01 - Enron
That's it for today, StarCraft 2-wise, but me and Marko are heading over to the Blizzard booth now where we will play.... Diablo 3!

Friday, 14:12 - Enron

All the VODs from the second day are now up. Click here to watch them.

Friday, 14:08 - Enron

They took a short break before the next game between SarenS and IdrA now to preview, for the first time in the world, in-game material from Shogun 2.

Friday, 13:40 - Enron

The third game between SarenS and IdrA in the quarter finals was paused due to some lag, IdrA spent his time warming up his hands. The game is up and running again now.

Friday, 12:44 - Enron

It is very crowded now, everyone watching Dimaga and DeMusliM battle it out for a spot in the semi finals, including Artosis.

Friday, 12:39 - Enron

Feel free to scream from the top of your lungs, take off your shirt and freak out at any time during the stream - Day9

Friday, 12:22 - Enron

There were some sponsor stuff delaying the next match between DeMusliM and Dimaga, but they're back now.

Friday, 11:22 - Enron

The games between MorroW and TLO were fantastic. Dimaga vs DeMusliM is coming up now.

Friday, 10:06 - Enron

There is a Rock Band 3 booth nearby, they keep playing "I Love Rock'n'Roll" over and over... and over and over.

Friday, 09:57 - Enron

TheLittleOne and MorroW are warming up on the main stage! Get ready for some TvT action.

Friday, 09:54 - Enron

We're back at the Köln Messe for the third day of Gamescom. We finally got a spot at a table, so I won't have to sit on the floor anymore, so a good start so far.

The games will be starting pretty soon, and should've started already according to the schedule, but they are not playing yet. We will put up the stream on our frontpage when it's live this time.

There's still not a lot of people in the crowd either, so something is probably delaying the quarter finals a little.

Thursday, 22:49 - Enron

They were quick to remove the internet once the event was done for the day so didn't get time to round up the day. But as for tomorrow we have some very exciting games coming up as where I predict it will go something like this;

TLO 2-1 MorroW
DeMusliM 2-1 Dimaga
SarenS 0-2 IdrA
Tarson 2-0 MaDFroG

I think TLO's TvT should do, but the MorroW vs TLO match is the one I find the hardest to predict among these matches.

I think DeMusliM's going to get a revenge from the Go4SC2 Sunday cup we previously had and take down Dimaga 2-1 due to Terran being really strong against Zerg, and seeing him play against IdrA impressed me, even if it wasn't enough in the long run.

IdrA is going to beat SarenS 2-0, he is so strong right now and keeps his head cold even when being pressured by tanks and marines after a huge loss of banelings against DeMusliM. Amazing how he turned that game around and won it.

I've always been impressed by Tarson, and I think MaDFroG will lose 2-0. What are your predictions for tomorrow? Good night, GosuGamers.

Thursday, 18:24 - Enron

HasuObs vs LucifroN and Dimaga vs SarenS has just finished, for the results check out the GosuBets.

IdrA vs DeMusliM is up next.

Thursday, 18:18 - Enron

I am uploading photos now, you can check them out here.

Thursday, 17:29 - Enron

We will update you with the results from all of today's matches later, and the photos we've got so far will be uploaded in short. Day[9] has been signing autographs ever since the games ended, he looks very exhausted where he sits talking to Apollo.

Right now they're throwing out free stuff such as t-shirts, posters and computer hardware from the stage.

Thursday, 14:55 - Enron

Watch the ESL stream here.

Thursday, 14:53 - Enron

It is crowded here, everyone are so excited about the StarCraft 2 tournament. Currently showing Dimaga vs HasuObs, but it's hard to see the screens or hear the sound from my angle, I must find a better spot.

Thursday, 14:50 - Enron

We finally arrived at Gamescom, me and Marko. It is huge here! We walked by a Diablo 3 stand as well, so we'll bring you a short review on how that is once we played it. I'm currently sitting down on the floor besides the stage that the StarCraft 2 tournament is played.

Wednesday, 18:11 - Raistlin

The third round of today's rounds have begun, and we have a re-game from last weekend's TheLittleOne versus MaDFroG to decide the group winner of Group A.

Meanwhile in Group B we have MorroW currently undefeated, while we see the other three might go into a tie, should Artosis defeat Tarson.

Wednesday, 17:47 - Raistlin

TLO wins against White-Ra, in a very great second game. White-Ra showed some great harass, but TLO came back. This is what TLO had to say after the match:

"I'm kinda confused right now. I'm pretty confident about the next games now that I advanced to the group stage. My goal was to advance from the group stage, so I'm quite happy already."

Wednesday, 15:57 - Raistlin

TLO is already up 1-0 against White-Ra after some great banshee play.

Now we have the second game going on, on Delta Quadrant. Get the stream right here. If you can't, follow the updates here as we'll bring you the latest news from gamescom.

Wow, MaDFroG took down the Beast from the East White-Ra by 2-0. People doubting the Swedish Zerg really got :O'd.

Now we see TLO against White-Ra. Great Terran versus Protss upcoming!
