With the first installment of StarCraft 2 coming closer and closer, the Blizzard boys do not fail to indulge in what they do best - hype, hype and hype some more. Thus, in depth information about Wings of Liberty special edition is now available.The monstrosity that is WoL Special Edition contains a ton of gifts that will drive the fans crazy, namely:
- The Art of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, a 176-page concept art book;
- 14-track OST CD, containing the epic sound of the StarCraft 2 universe;
- Behind the Scenes DVD;
- 2GB USB flash drive replica of Jim Raynor's dog tag, loaded with the original StarCraft: BroodWar;
- "Mini Thor" - an ingame World of Warcraft pet for all of us who enjoy that Blizzard franchise as well;
- Special Battle.net downloadable content that will consist of character portraits and unit customization details;
- StarCraft comic #0, a prequel to the released comic series.
Gamers will be able to enjoy this Special Edition at the price of $100, which is a great value for money given that you will probably need a motorized transport to bring that baby home.
For those of you who just want to plunge into the StarCraft 2 universe there will be of course a standard edition at $60 a piece.

| Everything to make money. I bougth two games in my life - SC:BW and SC2. Total prize of maybe 60$. Edit: #2, there is more than 1 Swedish site where you can pre-order it from, I pre-order'd the standard game a few weeks back but the special pack w/e was there to, so I'm pretty sure you can find some site that does it. |

| Pokki.. This is a special edition, not the original box. Gotta be rich to buy these stuff -.- TBH blizzard deserve every penny for making sc2 and soon d3... Its a gold worth company for good games. If you look at it like that 100$ aint much per piece as Blizzard is to stay and keep making our favorite games :) I myself will not buy any special edition as i dont see it benefit me in any way. But for those who do buy SE you are contributing to blizzard a lot and deserve respect for your donations :) |
