Over at PGTour, PuertoRican announced the landing of the second season of AmeriCup - the online league with one of the biggest prize pools in the StarCraft scene these days - 2,000$ USD. 64 top players in the world will clash. The groups plus much more have been announced. Below is all the information you need!
Last year's Global Gaming League - AmeriCup in StarCraft was won by the American progamer Assem after beating BrEaKdOwN in the grand final (read more » here) with 3-0. The league was a success, a lot of great players took part and it was shown pretty early that a league with a big prize money was very important for the scene. So, just a couple of days ago, PuertoRican, administrator of GGL, announced more details on the second AmeriCup season, with the full player list, map list and extra details. Looking at the player list, you see many of the AmeriCup #1 players, among them the winner and runner-up Assem and Breakdown. Also, we see the WCG 2005 3rd place winner Legionnaire (picture).
