eSTRO progamer aspirant and American Tyler "NonY" Wasieleski played his first Courage tournament yesterday, and was one game away from a stunning royal road in the KeSPA-sanctioned tournament.
Stumbling in the final against a Terran by a 1-2 score, eSTRO's and non-Korean StarCraft scene's newest hope NonY still stands without a progamer license. But with such a stunning run through his very first Courage tournament, which grants the winner a semi progamer license, much speaks for a bright future for the American Protoss.
"I reallllllllly could have won. but hey, it's a learning experience. i can win next time," said NonY on TeamLiquid after the tournament.
Unlike the two other recent foreigners entering the Korean scene, IdrA and Draco - NonY has not yet been given a license from his team, eSTRO. In a forum post, former eSTRO player Greg "IdrA" Fields says eSTRO already spent their give-out licenses on gosi[season] and himself.
NonY's next agenda is the fourth season of PGL starting January 1st. There he will be battling against the top foreigners White-Ra and Strelok. Add to that the best Chinese players and four Korean progamers.
