Electronic Sports League gives another go to enter the semi-elite scene and starts an online 1on1 league in collaboration with iCCup.
ESL Major Series will be the name of the league, where 16 players will go at it in order to reach the first place prize sum of 450€.
Four qualification tournaments will be held where top four from each qualifier will advance to the group stage. These 16 players will then be seeded randomly into groups of four, where every player faces off once. The top two from each group qualifies for the playoffs, which is a straight up double elimination tournament.
The default date for the league will be on Mondays at 21:00 CET. The league matches will be featured on ESL TV.
The first qualifier tournament starts August 31st. All matches are played on iCCup.
