The Top 8 from Season 2 were invited, among them the known Brood War player Finland Clawson[pG]. The UGTour administration are very strict in bringing in players for the ladder, and Clawson was a tough decision. After a bit of a fight between the two administrators Sweden iRk-Agge and United States DarkTiger, they let him join the ladder. Clawson himself wanted to try it out. "It kind of gives us a bit more publicity," says Agge, and tells that other great gamers from Brood War who enter the channel daily.

Clawson and iRk-Sharp in the grand final

The grand final stood between one of Nordic's best players Finland Clawson[pG] who went through the bracket by first beating the ex Swedish National Team member Sweden iRk-Tuffer and then the Canadian player Canada 604ass. The fairly unknown Sweden iRk-Sharp won against Canada iRk-Breeze and Sweden vSa.Blacklemon. The grand final was really close, but in the end Sharp could prove that knowing the vanilla way to play is important and thereby won 3-2.

Agge: "UGTour getting better and better"

Season 1 was won by Norway Riska.tf[MGS], and runner-up was Canada 604ass. Winner of the ladder ranking was just as this season Czech Republic Frosty[KTS]. iRk-AgGe says that he and the rest of the administational team are very satisfied with how UGTour has developed. Of their hard work they have now started to work on a launcher reporting matches automatically. During season 2 they had a bot receiving reports instead of reporting the games via software as in season 1.
