Earlier today, starting at 11:00, you could see the grand final match in Electronics World Cup in WarCraft 3 between Netherlands Grubby and Russia Deadman. Both players advanced from Group A in the second group stage, with Grubby coming out on top. Grubby beat Deadman in the group stage, and he was a couple of hours later do it in the Grand Final as well. After two games, one on Lost Temple and the second on Turtle Rock, Grubby was the last man standing - and had thereby won ESWC 2005 in WarCraft 3.

Unseeded, still won

The fact that Grubby was unseeded after losing to Zerter in the Dutch qualifier, his chances in winning the whole tournament was a bit lower than they might have been. Although, Grubby showed his strength and fought his way until the end. This win brings him yet another impressive title, and also a nice prize sum - 13,000$ USD. Russia Deadman becomes the runner-up and gets 9,000$ USD, and Korea ReiGn gets 6,000$ USD, after beating the Chinese player China Sky in the match for 3rd place.
