Curse stands no chance on Saturday's MLG

Even though Curse is at the top of the food chain for the North American LCS, they could not defeat the new and powerful established roster of KT Rolster B.

The first game of the night would show a rather embarassing defeat for TSM Snapdragon. Curse came into this Saturday evening in tip top shape and made every single member of the TSM roster look weak. After two sketchy dragon calls in a role, Curse capitalized immediately on a very snowbally composition to pick up an easy early-mid game lead.

By the times actual teamfights began to arise, Cop and Voyboy became insanely fed, shredding through the composition with the assistance of Saintvicious's Jarvan IV engage, of which he was very rich and far ahead himself. As every member of Curse was ahead of every member of TSM, TSM could not hold out under the pressure and takes an early defeat.

The next game to follow would be comparatively uneven between GGU and Dignitas. Though Dignitas had a weak showing yesterday, they came back with a vengeance and showed Good Game University who's boss. While Good Game University held up fairly decently in the beginning, the the experience of Dignitas shined through as time went on.

The third match of the day would end up being the closest match of the day up to this point. Complexity vs. Vulcun erupted with constant back and forth action the entire game. While Vulcun boasted superior dragon dominance in the early game, Complexity focused on the superior sieging.

48 minutes in, both teams' inhibitors remaining standing in this behemoth of a game and farm levels reaching 400 . Complexity trades baron for inhibitor twice in a row, and the action does not subside. However, Complexity seizes greater psychological control and manages to smash Vulcun down in a base race that came down to a battle of wits.

Not stagnant whatsoever was the upcoming game of Counter Logic Gaming vs a Team MRN featuring their star substitute Nientonsoh. The star found his way to the top of the CS charts, rivaling Doublelift for the entirety of the game.

Knowing very well the capabilities of Doublelift carrying the team, especially with the pressure of HotshotGG's Maokai with the camping potential, MRN quickly shifts focus to hunt down Doublelift no matter the case. Knowing this, Doublelift is quick to adapt and assertively swaps to a tanky build right after finishing his "core 3".

With the help of barrier, Lulu peel, Warmogs, and a Quicksilver, Doublelift made short work of all those who dare dive on him, causing CLG to take the game.

International Exhibition

What would come is what fans wanted to see but with a result they were not expecting. One of the most anticipated matches for sure was Curse Gaming vs. KT Rolster B. Curse Gaming boasts the absolute highest ranking in the NA LCS while KT Rolster B has reconfigured their roster, also becoming one of, if not, contending for the strongest team in Korea. Unfortunately, the fight was very short of being an epic one.

Curse was pretty much stunted the entire game and not just by a little bit. The game had ended at the 22 minute mark, with the whole, painful encounter stemming from utter domination towards each and every member of Curse followed by the collaborative efforts of KT Rolster B to successfully close out the game in a complete shutout.

The game looked well fought kicking off from both teams with the result very much undecided. Curse tried to take a note out of the aggressive pages of KT Rolster B by attempting a tower dive top with 3 members, though not warranting nearly as much success as KT Rolster. At one point, Curse reigned supreme and stayed ahead of KT Rolster, but the lead wouldn't last long and disaster would soon approach.

Though Curse was winning the first few early teamfights, they didn't manage to seize any objectives shortly after wherein KT Rolster B wasted no time seizing every opportunity that would approach them from advantageous situations. In a complete 2-0 shut out, KT Rolster B defeats the top NA LCS team and proceeds onward to face Gambit Gaming in the international finals.
