Curse with another Solomid Series gold

Despite forfeiting or simply missing the first three weeks of competition, Team Curse are already among the favorites to make the playoffs.

Just like last week, Curse asserted their domination and took the winners bracket by storm, starting with Pulse Gaming and continuing on to TSM and FeaR before meeting Dignitas in the grand final. Scarra's team, on the other hand, traveled quite the journey. Forfeiting their match against TSM due to connection issues, Dignitas had to go all the way through the losers bracket to battle for the precious 380 points.

Both teams brought a couple of new things to the table. Voyboy put aside his orthodox champions and went for Elise in games two and three, while Imaqtiepie gave Twitch a try.

In a 40-minute long game one, Curse came in stomping, running a 12/3/15 Orianna, 7/2/14 Ezreal and 9/3/10 Katarina, an astounding score across all three carries which put Dignitas a game behind. With the help of Qtiepie's Twitch, however, the score was tied after one very equal game and a final set had to be played to determine the winner.

As neither team had any intention of letting this go easy, said final game ended up being even more so on razor's edge. Curse took an early lead in the kills but Dignitas caught up quickly and shortened the gap in terms of gold, mostly due to Imaqtiepie's exceptional farming, leaving Cop's Ezreal a whole hundred creeps behind. Yet, map control was all in Curse's favor. Leading five towers to two and hitting a window after spotting Twitch on bot lane, Curse went for a swift sweep on Baron - a turning point in the series and the beginning of Curse's final assault.

This victory elevates Curse to 2nd place in the overall ranking, 200 points below the leader of TSM. Though this doesn't yet guarantee them a spot at playoffs, it is still a most likely occurrence. At this point, only Reginald's Team Solomid are sure to advance even if they end up scoring zero points during the final week.
