Europe's 2015 LCS season is on the go

SK, Giants, Fnatic, CHW and UoL excelled in the opening day of LCS Europe Spring, giving viewers plays to talk about.

Despite having three LCS grand finals on their shelf, the future of Fnatic was uncertain coming into the new 2015 season. With sOAZ, xPeke, Cyanide and Rekkles all leaving between November and January, the black-and-yellow jerseys now only had Yellowstar as a Fnatic veteran. It was a brand new roster, ready for brand new achievements.

Last night, Fnatic took the first step, evaporating Elements in 30 minutes to take down the first game of the night. Captain Yellowstar set up an aggressive pace from start to finish, aiming to counter Elements' passive, late-game oriented style. It's a big win for the revamped roster which now has to reforge its renown after losing most of its poster boys.

It was a big night for the teams coming from the challenger and expansion tournaments as well. GIANTS!, Copenhagen Wolves and Unicorns of Love each had success, dealing MYM, H2K and Gambit their first losses for the tournament. 2014 Summer bronze medalists SK Gaming further showcased why they're among the favorites to win the season. Great plays by Freddy122 and Forg1ven and great team effort as a whole secured a win against ROCCAT.
