Complexity once again find an upset win over Cloud 9 while Team Solomid finally tie with Counter Logic Gaming and climb up the ranks.  In addition, Dignitas becoes the throne holder for the LCS.

The North American LCS kicked off with the most hyped rivalry in western League of Legends eSports, Counter Logic Gaming vs. Team Solomid. Playing to win lane, Dyrus's Renekton pairs up with Amazing to establish an early lead and first blood onto Seraph's Shyvana. On the other side of the map, Doublelift pulls ahead on his Tristana.

Although laning went relatively smoothly for CLG, teamfights went uncharacterstically badly. In most of CLG's wins this split, they've shown a confidence that they were lacking today against their rival TSM.  Team Solomid were able to systematically dismantle CLG for the win and tie up their head to head this split.

Next up was Cloud 9 vs. Complexity. Things looked dismal initially for Complexity as pr0lly fell for Cloud 9's bait and allowed Meteos to make plays and grab the first several kills for his team.  Balls then did a good job teaming up with Meteos to seize control of the early game, and Complexity continued playing sloppily early on.

However, performance shifted and Complexity were able to stall out the game with their late-game composition. As a result, Complexity were able to take the win and finish the day with a 2-0 record this split over Cloud 9.

The third game would have Evil Geniuses test their mettle against Curse. In accordance with recent signature performances, the game started out very slow and Curse was relentlessly passive.  The composition went in favor of Curse due to Tristana's long range late game.

When the first fight occured, Curse won it, but failed to maintain that performance in future fights.  In a huge, game-changing fight from Evil Geniuses at baron, they were able to turn it around, nuke it down quickly, and take the game.

The final game of the night was Dignitas vs. LMQ.  Dignitas accomplished a very typical Chinese-style start by trading dragon damage and taking a very early dragon, worth more on the most recent patch.  Dignitas continued their great dragon control while LMQ focused on grouping and fighting.

LMQ did a good job at stopping Dignitas from grabbing the baron, but inevitably, they ended up taking it without dropping a tower. Dignitas were able to take down the Chinese powerhouse and become the current leaders of the North American LCS.
